How many slots does Morocco get?
Morocco receives approximately 40-60 CSC slots per year through the embassy channel. The university channel has no country limitation.
Application channels
Type A (Embassy): Apply through the Chinese Embassy in Rabat. The Moroccan Agence Marocaine de Coopération Internationale (AMCI) may also coordinate applications.
Type B (University): Apply directly to Chinese universities.

Tips for Moroccan applicants
French-speaking programs exist. Some Chinese universities offer programs in French, particularly in business and international relations. AMCI coordination. Check with AMCI about any coordinated scholarship programs with China. In some years, they manage a separate selection process.
Arabic-Chinese translation and Islamic studies. Chinese universities with Arabic language departments actively recruit North African students. If your background includes Arabic studies, this is a niche with strong demand.
Don’t overlook lesser-known universities. The competition for Tsinghua, Peking, and Fudan is intense. Consider universities that are excellent in your specific field but less well-known overall. Read our guide to choosing universities beyond rankings.
Renewable energy and phosphate research. Morocco is a global leader in phosphate production and renewable energy development. Research proposals connecting these areas to Chinese expertise can be compelling.

The CSC application form is in English or Chinese. Your study plan and supporting documents can be in English. Some French-medium programs exist, but application materials should still be in English.
