Turkey and China have expanding educational ties. Turkish students study a range of disciplines in China, from Uyghur-Turkic linguistics to engineering and business. The CSC scholarship is the primary fully funded option.
How many slots does Turkey get?

Tips for Turkish applicants
Secure a professor’s acceptance letter. For Master’s and PhD, this is the single strongest element in your application. Follow our cold emailing guide to write effective outreach emails.
Turkic language and Central Asian studies. Turkish students with backgrounds in Turkic linguistics, Central Asian studies, or Silk Road history have a scholarly niche in China. Several Chinese universities run strong Turkic studies departments.
BRI alignment. Turkey is positioned along the Belt and Road corridor. Research on trade, logistics, infrastructure, and Turkey-China economic cooperation is a natural fit.
YOK may have parallel programs. Check with YOK whether there are additional scholarship tracks or bilateral agreements with Chinese universities that go beyond the standard CSC framework.
Istanbul-like cities in China. If you are from Istanbul and worried about adjusting to China, consider Shanghai, Guangzhou, or other major commercial cities. The pace and diversity will feel more familiar.
